
Group Pilates Mat Classes
A maximum of 8 people per class means I can give everyone plenty of attention, making sure they get the most out of their practise. Classes are held at Avonway Community Centre in Fordingbridge in a bright, spacious room with underfloor heating.
I use a different piece of small equipment each term to keep the lessons fresh and interesting.

Why Do Pilates?
In a nutshell, Pilates makes you feel good! It’s a full body workout that’s been proven to help with general lower back pain. We work standing, sitting and in various positions on the mat. The exercises help you improve:

Which can help you with your daily activities and can also improve sports performance and reduce the likelihood of injury. It can also provide the perfect antidote to sitting at a desk all day.

My Teaching Style
I aim to keep my classes friendly, fun and non-scary! I focus on optimum movement which you can apply to your everyday life and sports too. I teach you to listen to your body and to work within your capabilities to meet your fitness goals. I have a variety of small equipment to keep the classes interesting and vary the challenge.

Beginner classes cover the fundamentals of Pilates movement, helping you learn to listen to your body to find good alignment. These classes are suitable for anyone who has not done Pilates before, or has perhaps taken some on-line classes or large group classes without much explanation.

Improvers and Intermediate classes are suitable for those who have attended any of my previous classes or have practised small group Pilates before. I may ask you to attend a 1-2-1 before starting an improvers/intermediate class to ensure it is suitable for you.

The Small Print
Cost £10 per session. Payable in advance in half term blocks during school term time. I offer a reduced school holiday timetable. A completed registration/health form and advance payment will be required to reserve your place in a class for the block.

If you are unable to attend a session and inform me at least 24 hours in advance, it may be possible to have a catch-up session within the block if there is space available in another class. I also offer the option of a £10 discount off a private session in lieu of the class. If I have to cancel a class I will give you the choice of a catch-up class, a refund, or to carry over a credit to the next block.

Once you have a space in a class your place is guaranteed until you tell me otherwise. Therefore if you decide not to continue in a class you need to inform me two weeks before the start of the next block of lessons or a charge of £20 will become due.
What to bring
I provide all mats and equipment, although you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer.
Please wear comfortable clothes that you can move freely in such as leggings and a t-shirt. We don’t usually wear shoes. If you like to wear socks, then grippy soles are recommended.
